My Self-Summary
His name is Kirma and he’s illiterate. I’m helping him fill this out, but honestly speaking, it’s a complete waste. Besides that, don’t you think his rank is unfairly high? Even though it’s still in the single digits, it’s not as if he wouldn’t be at home in the basement levels. If someone could send my complaints along to the house, I’d appreciate it.
Surviving?
Chasing sticks. Eating absurd quantities of garbage. Fouling up perfectly nice beds. Trampling flowers.

Sorry, monsieur.
I hope it isn't too much to ask if you were not opposed to meeting up...?
I think-
I think I've grown confident to meet people proper and I remember you being so kind.
It isn't too late, is it?
no subject
But I was concerned for your well-being in a place like this. Have you been doing alright?
If there’s anything you need I can bring it with me.
( <— clueless )
no subject
I'm doing alright.
This place can be a lot, but the people have been so kind.
It's just that...I find that having tea alone is really just not the same as sharing a moment with someone.
So I was hoping that we could share a meal together?
I only have recommendations from others, but if you know a place where we could enjoy some food in the company of each other, I'm all ears.
no subject
( including the garbage, but. he’s not going to take a girl there on the first d—without knowing that’s what she likes, yeah? )
I’ve always been partial to the red cardinal above all else. But only if you have a healthy appetite.
Otherwise.
( a pause, while he really thinks about this. )
I’m somewhat acceptable when it comes to cooking. As an alternative.
no subject
Oh, I am quite fond of that place.
The food is good and I always enjoy the tea they serve.
[Incapable of not talking about tea. It will come up no matter who he is or pretends to be.]
Home cooking though? I would love that.
It doesn't need to be the best meal in the world anyways. I think you can taste a person's affections and hard work in a meal made by their hands.
I would be honored, if anything, to be treated to a home cooked meal. ^^
no subject
I'd be honored to make one.
How do you feel about spicy food? Is there anything you don't want to eat?
I do need to do some shopping if you wanted to come along. ( grocie date... )
no subject
I didn't eat a lot of varying dishes growing up, so you can say that I'll try something at least once!
I've been rather fond of this place for at least that. Trying all these foods have been quite exciting. That includes spicy food of course.
Oh! How fun. I'd love to come along if you'll have me.
Where should I meet you?
no subject
I don't recall what rank you were. Or if it's changed.
There's a set of shops just below the first set of suites. I'll wait at the elevator.
( tail helicoptering and all. )
no subject
Having royalty cook me a home cooked meal? Aren't I super lucky today?
That sounds good. I'll meet you soon.
[Lesley sticks out in the crowd. Well, it's to be expected when she's standing at six feet tall. Wriothesley had learned a lot of things in his time trying to take on this appearance better. Using make up, putting in contacts, and picking out outfits with the different body.
Her hair was loose in long wavy curls of salt and pepper hair and she was dressed modestly in a long, flowing skirt and a frilled blouse. He had used make-up to hide all the visible scars and instead of steel blue, a warm gaze of emerald falls on Kirma. She smiles brightly.] Monsieur Kirma? [She makes her way over and bumps her cheeks against his making kiss sounds three times. French greeting for the mayo lover.]
It's a pleasure to meet in person. I hope you weren't waiting long.
no subject
Ah, that’s— no, not— it was fine.
( nailed it. )
You didn’t have any trouble making it here? I hope.
( obvious fluster aside, he manages to try and take some measure of control over the situation, offering his hand out for support as he moves towards the store. towards groceries. towards a very nice date with a very nice lady that he definitely hasn’t met under any other identities. ) … And if there’s anything you dislike, let me know.
no subject
Cat got your tongue? Sorry, was I too forward? That is a common way to greet others back home, so I did it without thinking. I hope it didn't make you uncomfortable. [Kirma fighting for his life already, huh?]
No, no trouble. It was an easy trip. Thank you for being mindful on my behalf. It's really sweet of you.
[She easily laces their fingers together and squeezes his hand a little.] I only grew up with food from my nation, so I'll be honest I'm very excited to try anything you are willing to make. Even if I might not end up loving it, I think the experience is something I'll cherish. [This was said with some amount of genuine feeling. She really did love being able to try all sorts of different things since coming here.]
no subject
How are you with spice? ( the first question he has to ask any white person. ) I don't know what's typical for...
( ... ? )
Your nation.
( nailed it yet again. with his free paw, he picks up a basket on their way in. at some point, he'll likely have to let go, but— they can browse a little, first. )
no subject
Oh! I'm fine with it. I knew someone who enjoyed cooking and really loved trying new recipes and new things. I think my tolerance is at least decent. [If there's one thing that he had completely taken advantage of, it was getting to try out new dishes whenever possible. All the different foods that wasn't easily accessible in Fontaine had become constants for Wriothesley to eat.]
Are the dishes you eat very spicy? [Or does Kirma mean seasoned...?]
What is your home like? That is, if you don't mind answering. [Lesley isn't sure what they're getting so she's literal arm candy right now as she walks down the aisles with Kirma.]
no subject
It’s cold, most of the time. ( easier to start with the second question, for in a way, it ties into the first. ) Snow falls from fall to spring. At the end of every year, the sun doesn’t rise for a week’s worth of time.
( the temperate climes provided by air conditioning and central heat are luxurious in comparison— yet the lack of extremes only contribute further to the feeling of ambiguous stasis the hotel leaves them all suspended in. winter at the peacock looked promising at first, but never so much as motivated him to put on a jacket. it’s tough out here for an arctic dog.
he is picking out produce as they go: leafy greens, bean sprouts, roots. some for tonight, some for the future. feel free to make your guesses. ) So our food has to be warm, to make up for it. That’s what the old folks liked to say, at least.
no subject
Oh? I could never imagine, really. I grew up with a lot of countryside, so green hills and wild flowers was a lot of what I remember. [This was a bit of a white lie, given how life had went, but these were still prominent memories growing up.] I think I would lament not having the sun when I want it.
[Given that Wriothesley didn't see the sun much, but he had a choice of going out of the Fortress, so it was always just a quick trip to the surface away.
Lesley watches with curiosity at the ingredients that Kirma picks out. She seems genuinely happy to watch the other decide their upcoming meal.] I can see that though. When it gets cold, I like to enjoy warm foods. I think my spice tolerance will be laughable to yours so don't laugh too much~!
no subject
No, I won’t.
( he prommies. he’s a good boy. )
The sun stays for a week in the dead of summer. Perhaps you would not miss it so much, then. ( he certainly could’ve done without it. the memory of those days has him pause to shake out his hair, followed by a soft sigh. ) That is… I’m sure your home is much nicer than mind. I’ve yet to hear of any where that wasn’t the case.
( for the exchange of not missing it so much during their stay here— maybe he also has the better deal, in the end. )
no subject
Isn't it expected to struggle when things are different from what you're used to for so long? I guess if I rarely saw the sun, if I suddenly had to experience it for a week straight, I'd probably not be too keen to see it again anytime soon. [Perhaps if they could be eased to it, but a week of it after spending so much time without it sounds horrendous. Too much at once of anything would deter many.]
I think I'm very biased, but I think I lived in quite a nice place. It was beautiful and I do love the sound of the ocean. I can't help but get homesick often. The people here have been so nice though, so I think I've not felt bad about not seeing home because I can enjoy the company of others. [She taps her finger against the tip of his nose.] Like you!
no subject
please don’t ever reveal your catfish, wrio. he’ll be devastated.
the boop makes his ears fly up again, his eyebrows even lifting in surprise. it’s not a gesture he’s ever been on the receiving end of, nor is he quite sure what to make of it. positive, he thinks? maybe? hopefully. )
Is it strange I thought you’d be quieter? From how you were on the network. ( in his defense, he doesn’t have much internet experience to be able to judge well. and— ) — That, isn’t a bad thing. I’m just never sure… ( what to expect. )
no subject
Lesley seems delighted by the response though. She wants to pet those ears...]
Mmm, it was because I was shy and overwhelmed. Being tossed into this place while being a virgin and surrounded by all these things I'm not familiar is a lot to ask for a country girl like me. [She sighs a little wistfully.] I was also worried. I'm not exactly small and dainty.
[She pouts a little.] I was worried you might be disappointed when you see me in person.
no subject
… Do you often disappoint people?
( the thought of him having standards enough to be disappointed by anything is unfathomable, truly. the fact that lesley hits almost every checkbox of his type— as if he’s ever thought long enough about what that list would look like— makes it even more outside the realm of possibility. there is only an earnest confusion in his voice, at that question, and nothing resembling judgement at all. )
no subject
She laughs in response.] When you say it like that, it makes it sound like I'm worrying over nothing. It's not like that. I just didn't interact with many people and I was new to the hustle and bustle of the city. I can't help but worry that I might not fit in, especially since I wasn't comfortable just offering my body here. What if I couldn't connect to anyone?
[She swings their arm a little, a shy little smile.] I wanted to leave a good impression on you.
